Over the past six weeks, USI has been reminded of the unwavering objectivity of Mother Nature. Two catastrophic storms decimated vast swaths of communities across two of the largest states in the country. While the skies have cleared, and the waters have begun to recede, the lasting effects of Hurricanes Harvey and Irene will be felt for years.
Since the storms were first spotted, our primary focus has been on the safety and well-being of our employees and their families in the affected regions. We are truly fortunate to report that all of our employees are safe, despite some of their homes still being desperately beyond repair. It is in times like these that we are reminded to step back and be thankful for what matters in life: the safety and well-being of our loved ones.
We are especially proud of all of our employees who have donated time and money to help those in need. Every day we hear new stories of our employees rolling up their sleeves to help their neighbors rebuild. Now, more than ever, USI is committed to helping our communities restore their future. Through our construction services and hiring efforts, we hope to help build a solid foundation towards recovery.
USI is only as strong as our customers, employees, and their surrounding neighborhoods. We want to ensure we are taking the necessary steps towards a healthy and prosperous future for everyone impacted. If you’d like to be a part of our team or learn more about how you can help USI in our local recovery efforts, please contact us to find a branch near you. We are stronger together.
